Sculptures Italian Villages

The Italian village sculptures are direct result of the artist’s visit to Italy in 2007 when he participated at the 2007 Florence Biennale. This miniature assemblage constructed in wood and acrylic departs considerably from his usual Modular Triangular System prototypes. In a lively architectural rhythm reflecting a typical village scene he integrates the fervent mood of religious attitudes in the various structures: windows, doorways, arches. The Italian tradition of architecture blending a worldly existence with that of the church is poetically expressed in this tiny imaginative work.

The small sculptures are in sizes between 10 cm to 70 cm long – 5” to 28”.
