Ipad paintings

In July, 2011 I purchased my first APPLE ipad in New York City. Since then I have been producing digital images with the Brushes application. The range of possibilities is intriguing to explore. The digital palette offers an added feature to my art production. Now I am printing Digital Giclees on Archival canvas, which is  top quality canvas and also top quality paint. And I only print limited copies  for each image.

I have over 800 digital images already in my collection. It is a welcome counterpoint to my Modular Triangular System, which is a labored task involving multiple steps, precise carpentry and stretching canvas. And the differences in pricing is also more affordable.

The ipad paintings (Digital Giclees) can be printed on canvas, paper etc. and in various sizes. They are custom made.

The challenge of trying to see sound through art has been a premise for some artists. It’s an energetic approach to expressing formulations of color and forms , a synthesis in a category of its own, an amalgamation. Already in 1877 Walther Pater wrote the following in exaggerating belief, “All art constantly aspires to the condition of music.”

The challenge of trying to see sound through art has been a premise for some artists. It’s an energetic approach to expressing formulations of color and forms , a synthesis in a category of its own, an amalgamation. WOMEN IN LIFE’S TAPESTRY

There would always be assertive women in life’s tapestry, some more succinct and direct, philosophically outspoken others more subtle, indecisive, shy or silent. The gamut was interwoven with speculative delicacy and beauty and romance and pleasure, intrigue and complexity , maternal education and competitive leadership roles and a host of other factors. The acutely examined specialization was too expansive , too puzzling, across the mental and emotional landscape of existence to define a conclusive and definitive answer to an ongoing riddle that has puzzled men who have worshipped them for ages, for generations, and profoundly expressed in the grand stories of literature, in the writings of the ancient poets, in the songs of bards that still continues to this day. What does a woman really want?

LOOKING FOR THE RING

Women and rings just seem to go together. But sometimes women lose them. In a hotel I once knew, a maid was once accused of stealing a hotel guest’s ring. Management conducted a search. As things turned out, the guest had hidden the ring under the bed’s mattress for safekeeping.
 

CARESSING THE MUSIC

There was a noticeable invention, one supported together with signal receptors merged seamlessly in capacities between clothing material and electronics, audio quality and the senses, and she seemed to be caressing the music that was being played—- as if an imaginative interior decorator/fashion designer had somehow creatively provided her with custom made amplifiers with haute couture features intertwined for special transmission occasions.

Some weren’t patient enough to wait for life to ever get better. They hurried to travel to distant places in search of their Shangri-la, if only for a week’s enjoyment in the sun. They arrived with their own set of expectations, calculations, and mindset to just relax and basically cool out in the tropical landscape. And when they experienced events like observing a real iguana scurry close to their feet in a close natural environment it was even an unforgettable vacation highlight. Simple things he’d always taken for granted on the island were spectacularly amazing to others.

Even on sunny tropical beaches pathways to truth were being filtered and directed. The social landscape had expanded its range and intensity. Each new day held informative flows of news items that seemed to be a necessary part and parcel of the everyday. THE LAST MINUTE DECORATOR

Some still remained relatively undecided, immobile, as if the thought of the Holiday Season were a tedious accompanying requirement to fulfill, to breathe new life to physical spaces, to enliven interior walls and outside patios, even trees that were as yet undecorated but waiting to be adorned. The pensive last minutes of reflection carried their substance, their range of choices, their impending timetables. Not much time was left for those last minute decorators, those who considered perhaps a novelty that had never been chosen before. Indeed new adornments and lighting systems were flooding the markets, those with intriguing effects and tempting alternatives. The creative mindset, under such a wide canopy of choices, could still hold out for the last minute and perhaps still come up with a suitable solution the way some flowers took longer time to Bloom.

Energy engineering has developed an impressive gamut of alternative choices in renewable energy. No longer does mankind have to depend exclusively on fossil fuel supplies. There is a new shift, a worldwide direction that is now financially visible. “ Electricity from the wind, sun, waves and biomass drew $187 billion last year compared with $157 billion for natural gas, oil and coal, according to calculations by Bloomberg New Energy Finance using the latest data. This new announcement must also be a wake up call to skeptics and status quo bastions of governmental agencies who still believe that renewable energy sources are a pipe dream and the fantasy world of “greenies.” Big business is now involved in this new transition. The proof is there. There is a new revolution in energy thinking.

FESTIVAL VILLAGE MUSICIAN

The remarkable combination of celebrating the Saviour’s birth and the annual carnival spirit takes place on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands each year. Last night, January 29, the Crucian Christmas Festival Village opened to visitors, local and tourists alike. Carnival kiddie rides, food booths, games, dancers and musicians characterized the festivities’ program which is a grand tradition here. But this year approximately 60 different bands will be participating at the Crucian Christmas Festival Village. More than ever, talented musicians appear to be participating in an ever-increasing role in these celebrative activities. They are, undoubtedly, the dynamic force that fuses these different elements together in a memorable fashion during the holiday season. Religious pageantry and visual displays, together with social interaction, highlight the local cultural kalaidescope to create a colorful, fun-filled tapestry of celebration on multiple levels.

THE COMPOSING

Some have written music in the fullest expression of certain artistic styles, others have experimented into realms of unknown forms and styles. Refinements and jarring dissonances, funeral marches and emancipating music, symphonies with color effects, sonorities and special dynamics, operas and poignant melodies, virile Scherzo’s, orgiastic arrangements that swell with majestic exaltation, flights of fancy or themes that pierce directly into the soul, concerts that combine orchestral sections. Movements that are sometimes repetitive with loud or passionate close, others with shattering bursts that are rhapsodic spells, all these and much more are the craft of the skilled composers.

As the holiday season approaches there are those who are remarkably prepared to decorate and be seasonally in tune. They seem to possess a certain quality and discipline to shine forth with incredible decorative skills. No matter what their profession or background these souls are the consummate makers of holiday illumination. The capturing of pictorial elements are spirited, lighthearted and spontaneous but they are also varied in counterpoint with designated straight lines that suggest an interfacing and intense social connection within the menagerie; segments, rhythm, colors and compositional elements choose arrangements, intersperse in lively visual commentary of protagonists in a special vacationing environment of inclusive delight, leisure and play, celebrating existence.
